Several people have told me that I should start a blog. I enjoy reading and writing about politics, technology and science. I believe that we citizens of the United States need to take ownership of our government using our voices and our votes.
I believe that America’s greatest days are ahead of us. Our democracy and unity is being tested but such are the times that can result in an even greater Union if we confront the issues that are now dividing us.
When I talk with Americans across this land, we are in surprising agreement on what we want. But because of the changes in the world and in our country, many of our citizens are fearful. Many do not seem to agree on how we meet these changes. A deep dialogue is needed. This dialogue must be based on reality not conspiracy, on policy not personality, on accountability not blame, and on equality not hatred. We must stand for our future while understanding our past.
I am a pragmatist and an optimist. I support a free capitalist market while holding corporations and business accountable to our country and its people. I believe in our Constitution and in the individual rights and responsibilities of our citizens.
